Author Bio: Angie Stanton never planned on writing books, she wanted to be a Rockette. However, growing up in rural Wisconsin with her brothers’ 4-H pigs as pets, dance didn’t work out. Instead, she became an avid daydreamer. After years of perfecting stories in her head she began to write them down, and, as they say, the rest is history.

Angie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and attained a degree in Journalism. She loves natural disaster movies, Broadway Musicals and dipping french fries in chocolate shakes. When not writing, Angie is concocting ways to make more dreams come true, whether it be tickets to a Broadway show or convincing her family they should rent an RV and travel the country.

Best selling books by Angie include Rock and a Hard Place, Snapshot, Dream Chaser, Snowed Over and Love ‘em or Leave ‘em. All are contemporary romances.

I love to write YA. Why?

Because it takes me back to a time when life was simpler.  As an author of young adult books, I get to revisit that feeling of innocence and discovery.  When I was a teenager, I sure didn’t think things were simple. Life was filled with challenges and a whole lot of drama.

Growing up, I was a huge daydreamer.  I lived out in the country, far from all my friends, and with two older brothers and no sisters, I spent a lot of time by myself. I’m not sure if all girls are daydreamers, but it got me through some tough times.

As a writer, I’ve been able to take all those hours of mindless daydreaming and weave them into moving stories of first love and overcoming all obstacles. What girl doesn’t wonder what it would be like to meet a famous rock star, and out of all of the girls in the world, have him fall for her? Throw in a whole lot of plot twists and Rock and a Hard Place was born.
