I am embarrassed to have any one in my office. I have layers and layers of books all over my floor. I simply do not have enough space at the moment. I’ve been thinking about adding additional shelves to the wall which would accommodate many of the books I have on my floor but I don’t think it would fit them all. The thought of getting rid of the books make me cringe. Yes, I’ll admit, I am a book hoarder but I prefer to say a book collector.
I have been trying to see if I could redesign my office space which would allow me to have additional shelves put in. Here are some of the photos I’ve found on the internet of home libraries.
Realistically the only design I could possibly use for my office space would be the bottom picture because my office is not as large as the top two. I LOVE the shelf ladder in both of the bottom photos and I would love to be able to put that in my office.
I do have a futon in my office as well as a desk. These pieces may have to move out of this space. It’s an easy sacrifice for me, but if I could possibly come up with someone like the top picture, it’d be perfect.
I am sure I am not the only one struggling with this issue. What have you done to create more space for books?
