My Reading Goals For 2013

Posted January 3, 2013 by girlswit in Uncategorized / 2 Comments

First and foremost….my reading goal is to read at least 100 books this year. Since I completed this goal last year I see no problem in completing this again this year.

My second goal is to reduce the amount of books in my TBR stacks. I would like to say my goal is to eliminate my stacks completely but I know it would not be possible. However; I do have certain books or series which are on my 2013 must reads from my stacks. These include: the Blue Blood series, Divergent series, Wake series, and the Vampire Academy series. I did attempt to prioritize my books but I am sure you all know how that goes…..your mood changes so you choose something from the bottom of the stack. What I did do is set up one shelf with my must reads for the first three months of 2013. We will see if I stick to that shelf or not.

My shelf full of TBR books (2 books deep)

My third goal is to introduce myself to new authors which I have not read yet. I found many new authors in 2012 and loved their work. This is a goal which I definitely want to continue on because there are just so many awesome authors. Going to Comic Con really helps with this goal. Last year, Sarah and I met Shannon Messenger while we were just standing around waiting to collect some free books.

My fourth goal is to have an awesome time at the RT Reviews Convention. I am so excited about this convention. I’ve been to smaller book conventions in the past but nothing to this degree. From what I have heard it is an amazing convention with loads of authors present. You can learn more about the convention here.

My final goal is to continue to spread the word of awesome books and awesome authors on our blog.

What are your reading goals in 2013?

Well, my most important goal is to finish all the series I'm halfway to. Like the Immortals by Anyson Noel, I have 2 years trying to finish that series, but couldn't!
    Good luck with your goals!
