My Thoughts On The Divergent Movie

Shailene Woodley and Theo James
Why I love Divergent? In one word my answer is, EVERYTHING.
This book series is one of my favorites and watching Divergent come to life on the big screen was AMAZING.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James did a superb job as Tris and Four. I was very impressed by how they brought these characters, that I have loved, to life. OMG I also have to say  Miles Teller did a bang out job playing Peter; I totally wanted to slap him.

This movie provoked a lot of emotion within me, just like the book did. Overall, I thought the portrayal of the book in the movie was well done.  I totally give it 5 stars. There were some parts from the book that weren’t in the movie which surprised me, especially when they become apparent in later books. Hopefully, it will all come together in the next two movies.

Here are my top 5 parts of the movie (in no specific order)
1) It was awesome seeing the Dauntless crew jump on/off of the train.
2) Tris’s faction test
3) Tris and Four kissing (all scenes)
4) Four showing his tattoos and explaining their meaning
5) Bad ass Tris taking down Jeanine

I’m definitely going to be seeing Divergent again this weekend and I am very excited to see Insurgent on the big screen next year.

  1. I thought the movie was good. I really liked Theo James! Shailene Woodley did an amazing job too. While I was watching I caught myself going "That's not how it happened in the book" in some parts.

  2. Theo James reminds me so much of James Franco! I couldn't stop thinking that throughout the movie, lol. Both of them are gorgeous!! I haven't read the book yet, so I'm not sure what parts weren't included but am super excited about reading this trilogy. I totally agree with you about your fave moments – those were all definitely great ones. 🙂
