Review:
Easton Royal is back and he’s still up to no good….and we love him all the more.
The spinoff of the Royals series by team authors Erin Watt, Fallen Heir is part one of Easton’s story. We pick up right where Twisted Palace and Tarnished Crown left off…so if you haven’t finished with Reed and Ella’s story or read Gideon and Savannah’s story (available on Wattpad) you may want to delay reading Fallen Heir until you’ve done so.
With Reed off to college, Easton and Ella are seniors and now the Royals who rule the roost. And Easton could care less about what’s been deemed his social role. He just want to do what he wants to do and when he wants to do it. Afterall, he is Easton Royal.
And he starts off the school year in a fine fashion…with a inappropriate hook-up with one of his teachers. Unfortunately, this encounter is walked in on by a fellow student. Easton is then tasked with ensuring that this student doesn’t tell what they saw; least Easton and the teacher get in trouble.
Easton decides that he wants Hartley. I think it’s more a reaction to the fact that she doesn’t react to Easton in the same way that he is accustomed to; she doesn’t seem to care that he’s a Royal. She just wants to focus on completing her school year without drawing too much attention.
I completely enjoyed the story. It was a great opportunity to get caught up with the Royal family – to see somewhat what Reed and Ella are up to as well as get into the head of Easton. In true Royal fashion, nothing goes quite as planned and there are all sorts of trouble on the horizon.
Be forewarned, this one ends in a cliff hanger and you have to wait until January for the conclusion to Easton’s story…and the cliffy is a doozie.
