Lisa’s Review:  I received an ARC of this book from Little, Brown and Company while I was at BEA. It is in their new James Patterson’s BOOKSHOTS Flames format. They are original romances which are being presented by James Patterson.
The BOOKSHOTS format is a book which can be devoured in one sitting. This book is 128 pages in length and was easily read in a few hours.
This story is about Madeline who takes a new position in a small town in Texas from New York City, Madeline is focused on her career and has established goals for her future. Marshall is a retired rodeo star who resigned from the circuit to help his grandfather on his ranch. They are quite opposite from each other but the pull they have towards one another is strong.
Although this is a quick read i still was able to get a good understanding of each of the main characters. I felt these characters were really developed well and it was easy to connect with them.
The story is a sweet, wholesome love story. I really enjoyed reading it. Although it was a quick, short read the story flowed flawlessly.
